According to a March 7 letter from IFPTE President Gregory J. Junemann, the union is fully endorsing the Outsourcing Accountability Act — legislation sponsored by Representative Gary Peters (D, MI) that would require companies to not only list the total number of people they employ, but to also break those numbers out by country. For those jobs in the United States, the bill requires the numbers to be broken out further to show how many jobs are in each state.

International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE) President, Gregory Junemann, issued the following statement regarding the repeal of Ohio Senate Bill 5 (SB 5).

In November, EPI celebrated 25 of developing and promoting policies that strengthen the economy and improve the lives of working families. A special reception and dinner was held November 1, honoring Ray Marshall and Paul Krugman along with a tribute to the leaders of Wisconsin's labor movement.

Local 70 is proud to have workers from DC Jobs with Justice as part of our union, and last week they had their ninth annual "I'll Be There" awards, honoring labor and community activists. Read more about the awards here.
